Description
After-School Safety Matters is an evidence-informed program from the Monique Burr Foundation for Children that follows best practices for prevention education. Children will receive fun, engaging, and age and developmentally appropriate lessons that educate and empower them to prevent, recognize, and respond appropriately to bullying, cyberbullying, child abuse, digital abuse, and other digital dangers. Parents will receive information and materials as children participate in the lessons. The program will be implemented by a trained facilitator. Facilitator information: Lauren Souders is a Prevention Advocate at YWCA Hanover Safe Home. Safe Home provides services in Adams and York Counties for victims and families experiencing domestic violence and/or human trafficking. Lauren has a bachelor's degree in Secondary Education with a focus in Spanish from Towson University and over 10 years of teaching experience with children ages Pre-K through 12th grade.
