At the Adams County Library, we're dedicated to making a positive impact in our community by providing resources, programs, and services that enrich lives and foster connections. Whether you're familiar with our work or learning about us for the first time, I wanted to personally reach out and share how your support could make a difference.
This year, our patrons shared their hopes for the library's future: enhanced children’s programming, more local authors, lecture series, adult-centered programs, teen activities, and improved seating areas.
We've already expanded on many of these ideas, and the momentum is building. However, making these dreams a reality requires significant donations—$300,000 annually, which accounts for 11% of our operating budget.
Your donation is more than just a gift; it’s an investment in early literacy, lifelong learning, and community engagement. Thanks to your support, we’ve welcomed over 116,000 visitors to our branches, circulated 241,419 books and materials, and hosted programs that have brought together over 25,000 people already this year. We’re on track to reach nearly 30,000 attendees by year’s end.
Building on last year’s success, where we raised over $67,000, we’ve set an ambitious goal of $80,000 for this year’s year-end appeal. We can’t do it alone. As we strive to meet our budget and expand our services, your continued support is essential. By donating today, you ensure that our library remains a cornerstone of education and community, proving that libraries are as relevant as ever.
We are committed to collaborating with community members and organizations to serve Adams County and meet the diverse needs of our residents. Your contribution plays a vital role in helping us connect people with the resources and opportunities they need to thrive. Please give today.
Thank you for being the driving force behind our success.
