The Library of Things is a collection of non-traditional materials, including gadgets, tools, games and more -- all available to check out for free with your library card.

All Library of Things items check out for a 2-week period.

• Cardholder must be 18+ in order to reserve or check out a Thing.
• Staff will inspect Things upon their return to the Library.
• For Things not returned, or returned damaged or missing parts, the borrower will be charged with the full replacement cost of the item. The responsibility to protect against loss belongs to the borrower.
• Patron will be assessed a $25 cleaning fee for any Things that are returned not completely clean.  There is a $1.00 per day charge for overdue Library of Things items.
• The borrower agrees to protect, save, and keep the Adams County Library System, the Library Board of Trustees, the Library Director, their agents and employees forever free and harmless, and indemnified against any and all costs or expense arising out of any accident or other occurrence causing injury to any persons or property as a result of using any item in the Library of Things. As an item available for broad public use, the Adams County Library System also makes no representations or warranties regarding the items' fitness or suitability for a particular purpose or its general condition, and the borrower agrees to release the Library from any and all liability stemming from its use.
