Come to the Gettysburg Library to hear Best-Selling Author, Keynote Speaker and Media Personality, Dr. Dean Allen talk about his book, Frontier Land and discuss his travels about South Africa's Eastern Cape.

Dr. Dean Allen is a best-selling author, lecturer, and historian. An Englishman by birth, Dean fell in love with South Africa when he moved there for his post-graduate studies in the mid-1990s. An acclaimed international motivational speaker, he has been published widely on the history and politics of society throughout the British Empire. He is currently writing a book about wildlife and conservation in South Africa and as such makes an excellent guide for groups wishing to visit the leading safari reserves of the country. Having taught at universities in South Africa, Ireland, Australia, and his native England, he is currently based in the beautiful Eastern Cape of South Africa after being commissioned to record the story of wildlife tourism in the region. columnist for HeraldLIVE and also presents the popular ‘Frontier Land’ podcast at Algoa FM.
