Program Description

Description

Please join us Tuesday, October 15th at 6:30 p.m. in Valentine Hall on the campus of the United Lutheran Seminary - Gettysburg.  In conjunction with the Adams County Reads One Book, Director of Education, Pete Miele, Seminary Ridge Museum, will present a history of 19th century opioid addiction and the impact it had not only on Civil War veterans, but also upon the country itself.

As an added bonus, the Seminary Ridge Museum will open their museum doors from 5 to 6 p.m. for those interested in touring the museum. Tickets must be purchased at the museum visitor desk.  Don't forget, ACLS card holders who show their library card will receive a 50% discount on tour admission.

Reserve your seat for the presentation today by registering online or contacting the library at 717-334-5716.

This event is made possible through the generous support of both James and Cathy Gardner, WellSpan Health, and the Seminary Ridge Museum.

*Note:  For seating purposes, if you have multiple people in your party attending the program you must register each individual separately.
