Welcoming Winter

We have lots to look forward to this winter at New Oxford Library!

We encourage you to come by to “Preserve Your Memories” from December 3-7. This will be an opportunity for community members to make digital copies of documents, slides, photos, home video, and more! Please also bring along a memory stick/USB thumb drive for storage of the digital files. Though not a requirement, this opportunity will offer you the chance to submit to Scan PA Project, a Pennsylvania history archives project. Please note that you must own the rights to all materials brought in for digitization regardless of your interest in Scan PA participation. Sign-up for a 30-minute time slot for this free program by calling the library at 717-624-2182 or speaking with a staff member.

Because of November’s winter weather, we have rescheduled “Wands, Potions, and Magical Creatures” for Thursday, December 20 at 6:30pm. This is an opportunity for children to select wands, concoct potions, and “adopt” their own magical creatures. Please sign up for this program at adamslibrary.org or by calling the library at 717-624-2182.
(Still waiting on your owl? Me too. )

We now offer a Dungeons & Dragons meet-up on the fourth Saturday of the month from 12-3pm. Players of all skill levels are welcome to participate, and beginners are welcome to attend to learn all about D&D! December 22 is our next meeting.

Our winter Book-to-Movie event will be held Saturday, January 19 at 1 pm. Copies of the book are available for borrowing at New Oxford Library and can be checked out until the event date. More information can be found at adamslibrary.org.

Super Special Storytime Starring Mr. George will be back on Thursday, January 31 at 6:30 pm. It is always a wild time with stories, songs, and super duper silliness when Mr. George is here!

Are you interested in learning how you can be involved with New Oxford Library? Beginning in January 2019, Friends of New Oxford Library will meet the third Wednesday of the month at 6 pm. Please join us!

We encourage you to visit adamslibrary.org for the full program and event calendars of the many locations of Adams County Library System. We hope to see you soon!
