We're Your Gateway to Exploration!

New York Times Bestselling Author Christina Baker Kline is Coming to Gettysburg!
The purpose of the ACLS is to connect people to opportunities that enrich their lives. One unique way we are accomplishing this is by bringing a New York Times bestselling author to Adams County each year. I am thrilled to invite you to attend our Second Annual Signature Event. “An Evening with Christina Baker Kline,” which occurs at the Gettysburg Wyndham on Friday, September 28, includes dinner, silent auction, 50/50 raffle, presentation by Ms. Kline, and a book signing opportunity. Ms. Kline is the author of A Piece of the World, the book selected for the 2018 Adams County Reads One Book. Advanced Tickets are required. A limited number of tickets are available for a VIP Experience, which includes a private reception with Ms. Kline, and an autographed copy of her latest book. Tickets are $100 per person or $150 for the VIP Experience and can be purchased at each of our six branches or through our website at AdamsLibrary.org. Proceeds benefit the Adams County Library System.

The signature event is an opportunity to meet new friends and catch up with colleagues, and the silent auction is a great way to start your holiday shopping – all while benefitting a local non-profit organization, the ACLS! You can bid on a lovely Polish Pottery dish in the blueberry pattern, a wildly extravagant pamper basket, a birthday party at your favorite library, gift cards from local businesses, an Italian pasta meal basket, even an airplane ride for two! There is something for you at this sensational silent auction coordinated by committee members Michele DeLacy and Carolyn Greaney. Hope to see you there!
